White Agro-Textile 17g/m² AGRO-PLANT protects plants from:
- frost, low temperatures
- excessive (too rapid) moisture loss in the soil
- damage caused by hail
- damage caused by birds, harmful insects, etc.
- in urban allotment gardens, it prevents the accumulation of soot and dust on plants
Due to these properties, especially the higher temperature of the soil and air under the cover, using AGROPLANT agro-textile ensures optimal growth conditions for plants, resulting in earlier and higher yields. The agro-textile can be reused as long as it is not heavily soiled.
White Agro-Textile 50g/m² AGRO-PLANT
This is used for winter protection of plants overwintering in the ground (roses, rhododendrons, conifers, vines, heathers, magnolias, etc.). Evergreen plants must not be covered with black film, as they require light and ventilation. The cover is very necessary during snowless winters when plants lack the protective snow layer. The porous structure of the agro-textile allows for respiration, and its lightness does not interfere with plant development, creating a microclimate that benefits the plants. In ground crops, white agro-textile can be used to cover overwintering parsley, leeks, carrots, and plants with low frost resistance. It provides protection for plants overwintering in the ground during snowless winters and protects plants with low frost resistance. It is also used for early spring protection of seedlings and crops in polytunnels, as a shading material in greenhouses and polytunnels, and for covering low tunnels (instead of plastic), thus eliminating the need for ventilation. In orchards, it is used to wrap tree trunks (shrubs) for protection against frost and sunlight and also protects tree trunks from grazing.
Black Agro-Textile 50g/m² AGRO-PLANT provides:
- elimination of weeds without using herbicides
- protection of soil from water loss due to evaporation
- accelerated cropping and increased plant yield (the temperature under the textile is several degrees higher, which promotes root system development)
- improved plant phytosanitary conditions, making them less susceptible to diseases
- the porous structure of the fabric allows for respiration, and its lightness does not interfere with plant development, creating a microclimate that benefits the plants.
In contrast to other materials, especially black plastic film, black agro-textile is water-permeable, which means that rainwater or irrigation water penetrates the covered soil and does not cause water shortage for the plants grown on mulched soil, which often happens when using other mulching materials. The best results are achieved when mulching soil for strawberries, lettuce, melons, tomatoes, watermelons, cucumbers, etc.
